From Preform to Finished Bottle
Preforms are packed and dispatched — inspected for weight, height, and surface finish before shipping.
The preform body is reheated to around 100–120°C in your blow moulding machine's oven section.
A stretch rod lengthens the softened preform while high-pressure air expands it to fill the bottle mould.
The bottle cools in the mould and is ejected — ready for filling, capping, labelling, and dispatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Both are 28mm neck finishes, but the PCO 1810 has a taller neck profile compared to the PCO 1881. The 1810 is an older standard commonly used for larger bottles — typically 1 litre and above. The 1881 is a lighter, shorter neck designed to reduce plastic use on smaller bottles. Caps and closures are not interchangeable between the two, so it is important to confirm which standard your capping machine and caps are built for.
As a general guide — 17g–22g preforms are typically used for 1 litre bottles. 24g–32g suits 1.5 to 2 litre formats. 37g–50g is for larger containers (2 litres and above). Final bottle dimensions also depend on your mould design, so it is best to discuss your requirement with us before confirming an order.
