PCO stands for "Plastic Closure Only" and 1881 is the international neck finish standard. It defines the exact thread size, height, and geometry of the neck — so any PCO 1881 cap will fit any PCO 1881 preform, regardless of manufacturer.
As a general rule — lighter preforms (9.5g–15g) are used for small water bottles (200ml–500ml). Mid-range weights (18g–24g) suit 500ml–1 litre bottles. Heavier preforms (31g–36g) are for 1.5 litre and above. Final bottle volume also depends on your mould dimensions, so it is best to confirm with us before ordering.
